Explorer in Tanzania

Explorer II at work in Tanzania

The Goldfield Explorer II is designed to wash, classify and recover alluvial gold, diamonds, and other gemstones. The Explorer II combines a powerful wash plant with a 16" (40.64cm) circular jig recovery system. The entire unit is powered by water pressure supplied by the use of a single pump. The Explorer II can be used for professional sampling, small scale production, and for final clean-up of large processing plants.

Because of the differing characteristics of alluvial deposits, considerable versatility has been built into the Explorer II. Screen angle, sluice angle, vibratory screen size, water flow and vibrating speed can be independently varied for optimum classification and recovery.

The vibrating screens and jig are powered by independent water turbines and are adjusted (sped up or slowed down) by increasing or decreasing the water volume to the turbines via ¾" valves.
